As a family photographer “what do I wear?’ is a question I hear a lot.  And it’s an important one!  Great wardrobe can add a lot to your images.  Since “what do I wear” is a question that so many of my clients ask I thought I’d focus this Spring on creating some tools to help my families put together the perfect wardrobe for their sessions.

To that end I collaborated with Lindsey Hunter Lopez, a Los Angeles mother of two, blogger and avid vintage clothes collector.  Together we styled her session and used the images to create a tutorial on choosing the best wardrobe for a Spring family session.  You can find her blog post, with all my wardrobe tips, here.

Here are a few images from the session to get you excited for Spring!

The vintage dress that gave us our palette.

Even in black and white you can tell that this bunny sweater is THE BEST.

Some serious conversation going on between Gus and his dog Amos.

Mixing floral patterns in the grass.

Hopefully these images have you excited to start styling your own family session.  Head over to She Knows for all of my session styling tips and some additional images from the shoot.
