With summer coming to a close and the fall season taking shape, I am excited to offer my annual fall sessions. As a Los Angeles family photographer, the fall is one of the busiest and best times of the year to capture the magic of your family.
As another year draws to a close, we’re reminded of how quickly time moves. One day, these will be the good ol’ days. Believe me, you’ll never regret capturing your family just as they are right now.
To take advantage of the golden light and ideal weather we have in the Los Angeles area all fall, I’m offering Beach and Garden Family sessions.
Two Session Types and Locations to Choose From
Beach Family Session
Taken at golden hour on the beach in Malibu, the setting includes rocky outcrops, grassy bluffs, open sand and that golden, buttery, beach light. Your Beach Family Session experience includes:
- A 60-90 minute session
- Pre-session phone consultation
- Session prep guide and access to the studio wardrobe collection
- A collection of digital images and a print credit
Garden Family Session
Garden Family Sessions take place at golden hour at the stunning Arlington Garden in Pasadena. This location offers lots of variety in a compact space that is easy to navigate with small children. The Garden Family Session includes:
- A 60-90 minute session
- Pre-session phone consultation
- Session prep guide and access to the studio wardrobe collection
- A collection of digital images and a print credit
The Fall Session Experience: What to Expect
No matter which fall family photography session you choose, there are mainstays of the experience. From inquiry onward, I aim to take good care and help you be well prepared for your photo session. Here’s what to expect:
Step 1: Styling & Planning
After booking, you’ll receive a session prep guide to get you started. You have the option to schedule a phone appointment to ask any lingering questions and then we’ll get started with wardrobe. For moms and daughters (ages 6m-4y), we can pull selections from the studio wardrobe collection. We can also choose something from your own closet, or shop for something special. But together, we’ll ensure each look is flattering, coordinates well with the rest of the family, and suits the location you’ve chosen.
Step 2: Your Session
I keep things fun and fast-paced for the kids and provide plenty of direction throughout the shoot to ensure we get portraits of you and your crew looking natural, relaxed, and – of course – your very best. With these things in mind, you can rest assured that you’ll enjoy this time with your family.
Step 3: Proofing & Image Selection
Just a week after your session, your photographs will be revealed as a beautiful slideshow that you can watch with the whole family. Once you’ve had a chance to view them, you’ll choose your image collection and select your final images.
Step 4: Retouching & Delivery
Each portrait is retouched by hand to naturally and subtly remove any blemishes or distractions. Your perfected portraits are delivered 3-4 weeks after your session, so if you’re using your photos for a holiday card, booking your session in September, October, or by the first week of November is recommended. Your images arrive via digital image gallery at full resolution in both color and black and white, and are yours to download, share and print as you wish.
Step 5: Printing Your Images
While you are welcome to print your images wherever you like, I do include a print credit with every collection that can be used in your gallery store. Keep in mind, your session includes custom artwork designed by me, whether that means a single framed print, an album of your favorite family photos, or a gallery wall designed to grow with your family.
