i'd love to hear from you!
Can you DIY your newborn portraits? Yes. Do you want to? Maybe not.
I’m a Los Angeles newborn photographer known for my simple newborn portraits and my clients are often shocked at how much work goes into “simple” newborn photography.
Here are a few things to consider before you join the ranks of newborn photography Pinterest fails.
What kind of newborn portraits are you looking for?
If you’re looking for one or two photographs of your swaddled baby on a white bed, you can probably achieve what you’re looking for on your own. If, however, you’d like a full newborn gallery with plenty of variety and detail images, you’re better off hiring a professional.
I use a variety of wraps, posing techniques, support surfaces and lenses to create a newborn gallery a wide variety of set-ups and to make sure that we capture all the important details.
Do you want to include family portraits in your newborn session?
As a mother of two, I know how hard it is to get beautiful photographs of myself with my children and how dearly I hold the few I have. I include family portraits with all my newborn sessions and encourage parents to get in the picture. Trust me, both you and your baby will want these photos.
I’ve made it my mission to make it easy for new parents to join the session. I provide client wardrobe, so you won’t be left searching for something that fits and include hand-retouching on each and every image so that everyone looks their best.
Will you have the time and energy to DIY your newborn portraits?
I’m not going to lie, photographing a newborn is a lot of work. Before you add another item to your list, think hard about whether you want to take on that mission.
I’ve built my business around making things easy for new parents. Treating yourself to a full-service newborn session means I take care of all the details so that you can focus on your baby and yourself.
