This beautiful family joined me in the studio with their first child about a week after his birth. They were searching for a Pasadena Newborn Photographer who would create natural newborn portraits for their little boy. My studio is conveniently located just minutes from Pasadena, and I was only too happy to oblige. I designed their session with a white, grey, and blush palette with mom’s input, and I love how it turned out!

I create natural newborn portraits with a minimalist aesthetic: no props, costumes, or unnatural posing, just the quiet perfection of you and your baby.
Although I don’t use props in my newborn sessions, I love to use parents’ hands to give a sense of scale to your baby. Your little one will never be this small again, so it’s crucial to capture how tiny they are. I love this series of photographs with mom and dad’s hands.

Are you looking for full-service newborn photographer in Pasadena? You’ve come to the right place. I offer a beautiful collection of dresses available for you to wear during your session. For this session, mom borrowed a gorgeous Rachel Pally dress from the studio wardrobe collection. Of course, dads can get away with a white teeshirt and look great!
You’ll also find a gorgeous collection of knits and wraps for your newborn. All the textiles you see on my Instagram and website are available during your session.
At the end of the session, we changed baby into this little knit diaper cover and bonnet. I don’t photograph a lot of clothing on babies, but I have a small selection of simple knits, and I LOVE them. These knits look like they could have come from any of the last five decades, so I know they won’t interfere with the timelessness of the portraits. Here’s a fun fact: my mother-in-law knits them for me!
I’m thrilled this family found me! Their son was a dream to photograph, and I had such fun collaborating with mom on this gorgeous soft color palette. These natural newborn portraits will stand the test of time!
