Los Angeles Family Photography: Natural and Relaxed Outdoor Photo Sessions

As a Los Angeles family photographer, I have the pleasure of photographing my clients outdoors 12 months a year! Don’t get me wrong, I love a studio family session and offer those as well, but I’m always game to get outside.

Los Angeles Family Photography: Garden Sessions

My most popular outdoor family session is the Garden Session. These sessions take 60-90 minutes and are photographed in a gorgeous 3-acre garden on the border of Pasadena and South Pasadena. I’ve been coming to this hidden gem with my kids for the last 10 years and love introducing my clients to its magic.

The garden has a lovely mix of manicured and wild back-drops, and we’ll make use of many of them during your session. The garden is big enough that your kids – whether they are 2 or 12 – will have fun exploring, but small enough that no one will be whining that their legs are tired!

Parks and gardens are comfortable territory for kids and they tend to let down their guard easily during an outdoor session. Plus, there is plenty of room for playing airplane, riding on shoulders or anything else your kids like to get up to.

Los Angeles Family Photography: Custom Sessions

If you have a special location in mind, you can always opt for a Custom Session. Some families come to me with favorite spots that they’d love to be photographed in.

If you don’t have a specific location in mind, but know that you’d like a certain vibe (say, the beach!), I’m happy to share with you my tried-and-true locations in and around Los Angeles.
